 | Mars TD Plus
| Taro | Strategy | Browser | Click here to play (external link) |
|---|
Mars TD is an excellent tower defense game created by Taro, developer of the unfairly difficult platformer Super Ear Man Bros. The objective here is to build turrets around the map and protect your base from the incoming alien invasion, because every enemy that reaches the base will steal some gold from your resources. You will lose if you run out of gold at the end of a wave, although players are allowed to continue up to three times from the level they last attempted.
Three options are available to you whenever you click on a friendly unit on the map. Selecting the first choice upgrades the turret by one level, up to a maximum of five. The cost of upgrading a unit depends on how much experience points it requires before the level counter is automatically increased by one.
The second option is used to switch the location of two turrets. No cost is incurred if this action is taken in-between waves, but the amount of gold required to switch units during battles will be indicated inside the selection box. Turrets and walls can be sold by choosing the third button.
You're definitely missing out on something special if you let the lack of English text for menus and descriptions prevent you from playing one of the best tower defense games out there.

 | Pylo Noveau
| Grit, Omnilith | Platformer | 6.14 MB | Click here to download (external link) |
|---|
Pylo Noveau is a 2D platformer made with the Game Maker engine, featuring four lengthy levels to play in the first demo build released. The developer has promised four times the content in the final version, but don't let the incomplete tag discourage you from giving this game a try.
You play as Pylo, a dragon with fire-breathing ability that can be further upgraded whenever you collect a red gem. Any jewels you collect also allows you to use special powers that can either reveal secrets in a stage, heal Pylo, or even hurt enemies in a myriad of ways.
The biggest letdown of this project is the use of sound effects from other commercial releases, although if you can let that slide then there's some fun to be had here by fans of platform games.

|---|
Canabalt is a simple one-button action game where you are in control of a well-dressed man who can't stop running, leaping from the top of one building to another as the city is being attacked by giant robots and futuristic-looking ships.
You can control the height of your jumps by holding down the button for a longer or shorter period. Running into obstacles will slow you down, and they could be dangerous to crash into if you need all the speed you can get to clear a long gap between buildings.
Canabalt was created by Adam Saltsman for Experimental Gameplay Project's August theme, 'Bare Minimum'.

 | Strange Adventures in Infinite Space - Windows, Mac
| Digital Eel | Strategy | 7.87 MB | Click here to download |
|---|
Digital Eel's Strange Adventures in Infinite Space is a space exploration game in which you play an unemployed space pilot, hired by a smuggler to embark on a dangerous ten-year mission in the Sector Prime system. Your employer is willing to part with handsome rewards for any discoveries that you find during this dangerous journey, but return to him late and you will be charged extra in ship rental costs.
The map is randomized every time you play, and interplanetary travel is initiated by left-clicking on a nearby star and pressing the engage button. Your ship can only travel in a straight line, and flying through the Purple Void nebula will only slow you down even further.
Combat is conducted in real-time, with information about the current ship selected shown on the left side of the screen during a space battle. The green bar indicates your shield status, which recharges automatically during combat. The orange bar shows your ship's condition, and when this gauge runs out the ship is pretty much reduced to space debris.
Both the Windows and Mac versions of SAIS are now available as free downloads, and there are a bunch of mods that can be applied to change your ship's appearance, the types of aliens populating the system, and even the effects of new artifacts that you can find during your adventure in space. Some mods like Red Planet and Even Stranger Adventures in Infinite Space act as full-fledged conversions as well, offering a new storyline, GUI and alternate objectives for the players to achieve.

 | rhacp
| Crostar | Action/Arcade | 8.13 MB | Click here to download |
|---|
rhacp is a brilliant variation of Snake by Crostar, a regular 3Punge competition participant and also the creator of Round and Round. This particular effort uses 3D models, but retains much of the gameplay elements from the original.
The objective of the game is basically to swallow other enemies which resemble shorter versions of your creature. If any of them touches other parts of your snake's body besides the head, mines will begin to appear from the end of it's tail. Touching these mines causes the current game to end instantly.
The number of enemies to eliminate in order to progress is shown at the upper left side of the screen. Collecting all round objects will make every mine in the vicinity disappear, clearing your way when the area is getting a little too crowded.
Only the arrow keys are used to control movement. Press the Z key to start from any level. Continues are unlimited.

 | A Game with a Kitty 2: Darkside Adventures
| Bernie | Platformer | 14.7 MB | Click here to download |
|---|
In A Game with a Kitty 2: Darkside Adventures, you take on the role of an Arch-Chancellor on a quest to retrieve the lost crown, which equates to plenty of jumping and throwing stuff around.
The protagonist of the story can use the stars collected as weapons, but his inventory capacity will only allow up to thirty of them to be stuffed into his deep pockets. Special skills are awarded for surviving boss encounters, though certain jumps are pretty difficult to execute properly. The game consists of only four major locations in total, with an average of four to five short levels assigned to each.
There are several tough puzzles to figure out but nothing too perplexing with a bit of thought. Needless to say, a recommended download for fans of classic NES titles especially the Mario series.

One increases firepower, the other restores health while the third is a sort of bomb.
Zoots awards are handed out whenever a certain task is completed, with current achievements available to peruse via the trial accomplishment screen.
