|Tales of Games Studios||RPG||64.7 MB||Click here to download|
Barkley Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden is the full version of the earlier Chapter 1 release seen last year, which tells the tale of the outcast basketball player named Charles Barkley and his quest to clear his name of a crime he did not commit.
The game is standard RPG fare but features an outlandish apocalyptic setting with the basketball sport and matches outlawed, while the players either condemned, executed or sentenced to a life of anonymity.
It will probably take around five hours to complete the entire adventure.
|Bars of Black and White||Gregory Weir||Action/Arcade||Browser||Click here to play|
Bars of Black and White is an escape the room game created by Gregory Weir, developer of the popular pixel-horror Flash game (I Fell in Love With) The Majesty of Colors. The adventure involves using a barcode scanner to read clues scattered around the room you're trapped in, with hopes that a key can be found to unlock the door blocking your exit.
Note that a barcode can only be scanned by dragging the red light from left to right. A package containing the scanner will only appear once you've solved the puzzle on your computer screen.
|Base 2||Sim||Action/Arcade||1.62 MB||Click here to download|
Base 2 is a new game by Sim which play a little like Every Extend and the current hot favorite, GridWars. The player controls a bit with the mouse, using the left button to activate the shield. Coming in contact with enemy ships when your shield is up will cause them to explode.
Some enemies are too large to eliminate in this manner, so your only option is to maneuver around them. The green bar at the top of the screen indicates the amount of energy you have left, and will depreciate whenever your bit touches an enemy ship with your shields down. You will lose energy regardless of shield status when colliding with large enemies.
The right mouse button can be used to activate the freeze bomb, which freezes all enemies on-screen momentarily. Extra lives can be earned by destroying enemies of the same color in a row in a process called linking. Multipliers are awarded for long links.
|Base Invaders||Seventh Sigma||Strategy||35.8 MB||Click here to download|
Base Invaders is basically a different take on the popular 'defend the base' strategy game, developed by Seventh Sigma as another DigiPen project. Your objective is to repel enemy waves by building walls and placing elaborate traps around your tower.
There's a proper tutorial to help new users familiarize themselves with the controls, and each level introduces a new weapon or two instead of offering the entire selection immediately at the start and baffling players in the process.
Much like Dungeon Keeper, you can pick up the Invaders and throw them to inflict damage as well. The game includes a challenge mode and the excellent Invaderpedia, which offers inside information on every enemy type.
