DayMare Town 2 is the sequel to the similarly-titled adventure game by Mateusz Skutnik, developer of the Submachine and Covert Front series. This episode relies heavily on item collection, as players would require a hefty amount of coins to purchase key objects from some of the inhabitants of the city.

De Toren
Kevin OkeAction/Arcade9.07 MBClick here to download

De Toren is a delightful puzzle platformer from the developer of Lightmare and Consumer Culture, where the player's objective is to reach the top of a tower safely with at least the minimum amount of points required to clear a level. Floor sections which you have stepped on will light up, but backtracking will deduct a small percentage from the combo indicator that you are building up on. Keeping the combo count high is important, because time is of the essense and there are only so many floor sections to walk on in every stage.

The game features eighteen floors to play in total.

Dead Like Ants

C.E.J. PacianAdventure1.11 MBClick here to download

Dead Like Ants is another well-written IF adventure game created by Pacian, developer of Gun Mute and Snowblind Aces. In it, you play a young daughter who had been requested by the queen to carry out a special task for her majesty.

The game is rather short with only a handful of locations to explore and even less rooms containing actual puzzles, although some might point out that navigating the maze-like tree is a puzzle in itself. You can type EXITS into the parser to reveal all available passageways inside the room you are currently occupying, while keying in HINT allows you to access a flexible hints system that only reveals solutions to puzzles you have discovered during your journey. It shouldn't take more than half an hour to complete the entire adventure, but as with most of Pacian's releases there are a couple of amusing actions that you could try out by returning to the game after finishing the main quest for the first time.

Dead Like Ants is also playable on Linux and OS X, although you will need the right TADS interpreter for this purpose.

Dear Agent

Dear Agent is a short 2D platformer with a unique concept. The objective here is to neutralize the terrorists and destroy all of their equipment before you're allowed to the next level, but players never have enough ammunition or explosives to complete their tasks. The solution here is to use the surroundings and terrain to their advantage, for example blasting away the containing area of a lava and letting the fiery liquid flow towards your enemies, hence killing them instantly and saving you from needlessly using your limited starting equipment.

Death Row Diner
(mature content)

Death Row Diner is a satirical take on Diner Dash set inside a prison cafeteria, where you're placed in control of a lunchlady who has to serve inmates their meal and clean up their mess afterwards. Prisoners will start a fight if the service is too slow, and if that happens you'll have to break them up before it ends in bloddshed. Players will have to retry the stage if too many fatalities occur in one day.

The game starts out real easy so that you can get used to queuing up tasks, and things will only begin to get hectic when the prison warden decides to join the inmates for lunch. Unlike Diner Dash, prisoners in Death Row Diner comes in twos and fours, and there's never really anything to buy, upgrade or renovate in your cafeteria during the entire three weeks of your job in the prison.

Death Village is the latest game to come out of Nigoro. A little over a year in production, the extra effort really shines through in pretty much every aspect of the game.

Slam doors, open windows, and generally scare Kevin out of each stage while keeping him away from mummies, ghosts and other monsters.

A level editor is also available, which the author encourages everyone to use. All user created levels are available from within the main game and playable by anyone. - oranda
