Tank Domination is the latest release from DHC, an acclaimed Japanese freeware shmup developer. As the title suggests, your vehicle can move around and aim freely instead of being limited to one vertical direction. Hold the Z key to lock your aim and shoot at the same time.

Energy will only be replenished when all enemies shown on radar as red dots are destroyed. Your tank will explode with only one hit but three lives are given at the start of each game.

The version available for download features six short stages but does include four different difficulty levels to choose from.

Tarnation is a short action game consisting of eleven levels, in which players must defend their garden by turning seeds into flowers of different colors to repel bugs coated with tar. Simply draw a rectangle by holding down the left mouse button in any of the three directions to change seeds into flowers. These flowers will hover around bugs of the same color while causing damage, and disappear when there are no enemies to attack.

Created by Brad Merritt, a game designer who works for Cartoon Network.

Taro Paint is a simple paint program with basic image editing options, designed to run on any Flash-enabled browser. Though the default language is Japanese, the interface should be familiar to artists who have been exposed to one professional graphics editing program or another in recent years.

Some of the features which can be used in this nifty application include layers, uploads, undo, brush size, and even a fully-functional colour palette. It might not replace your choice of image editing program any time soon, but Taro Paint could be useful in a situation where you have to draw something up real quick without resorting to downloading or installing any additional software. You don't even need to have the latest Flash Player installed to get it working, since the requirements state that Flash Player 9.0 will do just nicely.

Teleportower is a puzzle platformer with fifty levels to play, split evenly between the five towers that you have to visit in order to beat the game. The objective here is to collect a blue gem located in the final room of each tower, but to do that you would first have to overcome a series of increasingly difficult challenges designed to thwart the efforts of any brave adventurer who attempts to loot the treasures within.

Our hero can jump, cling to the edge of a platform, or use his teleportation ability to switch between the two rooms in every stage. A trap could appear in one room and not the other, so you would need to alternate between both of them regularly in order to beat a level.

The size of the application window is increased by changing the display setting inside the configuration menu, accessible via the second option shown at the main screen.
