![]() | F-1 Spirit Remake - Windows, Linux | Brain Games | Action/Arcade | 18.6 MB | Click here to download |
Another Konami classic, the F-1 Spirit Remake is a niche racing game that will only appeal to fans of the original. Each track consists of several laps to complete, and requires plenty of practice just to squeeze in a top finish. Not a bad effort but one that will not be appreciated by many, even with new features not found in it's predecessor.

![]() | Facade ![]() - Windows, Mac (mature content) | Michael Mateas, Andrew Stern | Adventure | 167 MB | Click here to download (external link) |
Facade is an artificial intelligence experiment by Michael Mateas and Andrew Stern, an attempt to move beyond traditional branching or hyper-linked narrative to create a fully-realized, one-act interactive drama. Within this architecture they have built a dramatically interesting, real-time 3D virtual world inhabited by computer-controlled characters, in which the player experiences a story from a first-person perspective. The character you play is a longtime friend of Grace and Trip, an attractive and materially successful couple in their early thirties. During an evening get-together at their apartment that quickly turns ugly, you become entangled in the high-conflict dissolution of Grace and Tripfs marriage. No one is safe as the accusations fly, sides are taken and irreversible decisions are forced to be made. By the end of this intense one-act play you will have changed the course of Grace and Tripfs lives, motivating you to re-play the drama to find out how your interaction could make things turn out differently the next time. Somewhere between a video game and a drama, Facade takes advantage of voice acting and a 3-D environment, as well as natural language processing and other advanced artificial intelligence routines to provide a robust interactive fiction experience. Using full typed sentences the player can coach the couple through their troubles or drive them to be more distant from each other. This work is unlike hypertext narrative or interactive fiction to date in that the computer characters actively perform the story without waiting for you to click on a link or enter a command. Interaction is seamless as you converse in natural language and move and gesture freely within the first-person 3D world of Grace and Tripfs apartment. AI controls Grace and Tripfs personality and behavior, including emotive facial expressions, spoken voice and full-body animation. Furthermore, the AI intelligently chooses the next story 'beat' based on your moment-by-moment interaction, what story beats have happened so far, and the need to satisfy an overall dramatic arc. The player can take an active role in the conversation, pushing the topic one way or another to provide an interactive stage-play. These stage-plays are saved as scripts which can be saved after the game is finished.

![]() | Factory Balls 2 | Bart Bonte | Puzzle | Browser | Click here to play (external link) |
In Factory Balls 2, the objective of the game is to change the shape and color of your balls and match a picture pasted on the side of an open box, simply by using the ball with a set of tools provided in each of the thirty levels included. This sequel comes with unlimited retries and an extended collection of tools to use, though the latter half of the game is still extremely repetitive due to lackluster puzzles and lengthy steps required to solve the last couple of stages.

Falling Troy is a puzzle game which involves stacking three or more blocks of the same type in order to gain points. Multiplier bonuses are awarded for high stacks, though the current level is incremented as well whenever a player has acquired a certain amount of points. Use the cursor keys to move, and hold the left control key to jump off the floor, a block or even perform wall jumps. The direction in which you jump off a falling block determines the position at the bottom of the well it will be moved to.

![]() | FallOver | Hempuli, Arvi Teikari | Platformer | 2.12 MB | Click here to download |
FallOver is Hempuli's physics-based platformer that feels broken at first, but then becomes rather fun after spending a couple of minutes coming to gripes with an unbalanced protagonist and the floaty control scheme. You play as a gentleman who has to collect coins and reach the white flag safely, as he is prone to fall over with the slightest touch of any bump on the landscape. Players can stand up to three times if they happen to trip, and a quick restart button is included in case you use up all of your retries. There are nine levels to beat in total.

![]() | Family Treasure, The | buloght | Adventure | 0.96 MB | Click here to download |
The Family Treasure is another lovingly crafted AGS adventure game by buloght that uses a point-and-click interface made popular by classic Lucasart titles. Graphics are pretty good for an amateur effort, and the music fits quite well. A story about pirates and hidden treasures may not be original but the gameplay more than makes up for it.
