Sad Moon Mission tells the tale of an astronaut who was left behind by an expedition team headed into space. This is where you intervene by helping him jump from platform to platform, praying that he could catch up with the ship that is currently one crewman short.
You will need to return to the ground level occasionally to trade in the coins you've collected for new abilities. The game consists of only one playable area, which can be easily beaten in about fifteen minutes or so.

Saintrooper is a challenging exploration platform game that takes place mostly under water, where your character has to swim up for air often or collect oxygen tanks to prevent from losing valuable hearts. The game ends if you run out of lives, but players can always continue playing from the last level attempted by using the stage select option shown after the control selection menu.
One key feature of the game is that you have the ability to grab on to walls and climb upwards by jumping off a vertical surface. You can shoot in four different directions, and acquiring the special power-up item will temporary increase your firepower and oxygen reserves. By firing downwards during a freefall, it is even possible to reduce the falling speed and soften the impact of your landing.
There is an exit to be found somewhere in each level, but to get there you would first have to find a set of keys and unlock the doors that prevent you from reaching them easily. Leaving treasures uncollected might not be a good idea either, since extra lives are given out generously whenever you've scored a certain amount of points during your rescue mission.

 | Saira (demo) | Nifflas | Platformer | 240 MB | Click here to download |
|---|
Saira is a non-linear 2D puzzle platformer in which levels are separated into worlds that you can travel to at any time, although every journey uses up your ship's energy and the batteries must be charged first before you can embark on another trip. The objective of the game is basically to search for parts that could be used to build a teleporation device, so that you can reunite Saira and her friend Bobo who is on a distant planet somewhere in the galaxy.
Most of the puzzles that you encounter are stored within computers, consoles or terminals, and solving a riddle usually opens up an entirely new area that players can explore further. Your PDA's camera feature will come in handy for taking snapshots of puzzle hints in every world, but storage is limited and no new pictures will be added when the memory banks are full.
The game features multiple endings, and the one that is shown to the player is decided by the quality of the parts that you use for your teleportation device. Depending on the outcome that you are aiming for, it could take up to an entire day or two to find all parts and gain access to all of the ending sequences included.
There are six worlds to explore in the demo, while the full version offers a total of fourteen planets to visit.

 | Samidare (demo) | Project Blank, Amusement Makers | Shoot 'em up | 23.3 MB | Click here to download (external link) |
|---|
Samidare is a vertical shooter by Project Blank featuring fairly bland sprites yet imaginative use of bullet patterns. The demo only showcases one level but there are two boss encounters to test your bullet-dodging skills.
Bosses have a few attack patterns, each triggered after taking a certain amount of damage. Projectiles come thick and fast, so it's not surprising that your ship will often be trapped with no room to maneuver around the bullets. Fortunately shields can be activated by pressing the X key, although it does consume your energy as indicated at the bottom left of the screen.
When taking hits with your shields activated, the strength of your firepower increases depending on the number of bullets you absorbed. Particularly useful during boss battles as they can be slightly difficult to defeat at times.

Samorost 2 by Amanita Design is a flash game that is free to play online for the first few chapters. The second half is included in the downloadable version once you have purchased it.
The developers have chosen to use graphics to portray the story, so there's practically no text to read throughout the entire journey. Most puzzles are solved by figuring out the order in which the items on screen are supposed to be clicked.
