Markus Persson's Minecraft is a block-based sandbox building game originally inspired by Infiniminer, but one that requires no installation of any software to play.

Creative players can build anything from houses, mazes, towers and even castles with their own moats and bridges with just a little time spent on construction.
|Rescue: The Beagles ||Nenad||Action/Arcade||7.88 MB||Click here to download|
Rescue: The Beagles is a new platformer by the developer of Counterclockwise and Ablation, where the objective is to save the required number of dogs from the hands of evil researchers in each stage to progress. Press the up arrow key to jump or climb upwards, which is only applicable if your character can reach the platform above him or her. Press the down arrow key to descend downwards, or tap the same button twice in quick succession to use a parachute when you have at least one in possession. You lose a life if you fall from too high of a height, touch a red lip balm or allow a beagle to go unrescued.
Press the up arrow key twice to use a rope. Ropes are among some of the items which can be collected as you make your way forward in search of more beagles. Press the Z key or space key to throw an owl at enemies, and use the P key to pause the game.
|QWOP ||Benzido, Ben Foddy||Action/Arcade||Browser||Click here to play|
QWOP is a ragdoll-based Flash game by Benzido, developer of Too Many Ninjas and Top Spinner. In it, you play an athlete named Qwop who is participating in a hundred metres sprint event at the Olympic Games. Using only the Q, W, O and P keys, players must attempt to finish the event or at least get as far as they can without falling over.
A help screen can be accessed by clicking on the question mark at the top left corner of the game window. You can also restart immediately by pressing the R key at any time.
|musagi ||DrPetter, Tomas Pettersson||Application||2.07 MB||Click here to download|
Musagi is a fairly sophisticated music editor and synthesizer which is more polished than most shareware or commercial products available in the market. The program comes with a broad range of instruments, from predefined retro sounds that can be customized to a MIDI interface and a WAV sampler.
Even if you're not a composer and do not hook up your musical instrument to record tunes on your PC or use the keyboard to play them, you can ignore the more advanced sound-editing features and start composing a nice melody right away.
Be sure to read the text file in the documentation folder, then check out the nicely written step-by-step tutorial that will guide you in composing your very first tune. - Lim-Dul
|Pyramid, The ||Pug Fugly Games, Chris Roper||Shoot 'em up||3.82 MB||Click here to download|
In The Pyramid, your objective is to guide a protective capsule through the corridors of a pyramid while shooting at any object with the intent to harm. Sacrifice your enemies to the level guardian to open a new passage in each room.
A pretty good remake by Chris Roper, with nothing less than four control options made available to the player. Plenty of additional accessibility functions have been included, such as a difficulty setting, an autofire toggle, display modes, everything but the kitchen sink apparently. Having a monster book to record your previous encounters with the denizens of the sacred tomb is a very nice touch as well.

Hurrican is a freeware jump and shoot game created by Poke53280 that is based on the Turrican game series. Blast your way through nine action-packed levels filled with different enemies and powerups.
|Rom Check Fail |
- Windows, Linux
|Farbs||Action/Arcade||2.52 MB||Click here to download|
Rom Check Fail is a new action game from the developer of Fishie Fishie and Polychromatic Funk Monkey. Players have to clear the screen of all enemies to complete each level, but the task is made a little more difficult by the random switching of gameplay rules where ideas are recycled and remastered as an odd mix of arcade or console classics from the past.
Use the arrow keys to move. The space key acts as an action button. Press the left alt and enter key to switch between full screen and windowed mode. The game has twenty stages in total.
|Noitu Love and the Army of Grinning Darns ||Joakim Sandberg||Platformer||7.59 MB||Click here to download|
With a quirky name which is actually evolution spelled backwards, Noitu Love and the Army of Grinning Darns is quickly gaining widespread recognition for it's classic platforming goodness.
Controls are stripped down to basics, featuring the standard punch and jump plus two more attack variations assigned to both the left control and shift key. Much like Capcom's Mega Man series, you get to utilize certain devices to change form and access special powers. The first few levels may seem repetitive but the game does get better after the second stage.
Most of the highlights occur during boss battles, where each leader has to be defeated using different strategies. The final boss encounter is simply amazing, even when compared to other platformers freeware or otherwise. A word of advice, you'll miss out on quite a bit if the easy difficulty setting is chosen. Press alt-Enter to play in full screen mode.
|MSOIDS Flash ||cactus||Shoot 'em up||Browser||Click here to play|
MSOIDS Flash is a simple arcade shooter with the mouse and keyboard implemented as part of it's control scheme. Use the W, A, S and D keys to move. Rapid fire is activated by holding down the left mouse button, though this is only temporary as shot frequency begins to whittle down when used for a prolonged period of time. Press the space key to change colors. An online high score submission feature is included.
|Shoot First ||Beau Blyth, Teknogames||Action/Arcade||3.60 MB||Click here to download|
Shoot First is an action game with roguelike elements, featuring procedurally generated levels, an automap system, two-player co-op mode, an online high score table, and even AI-controlled companions to help you out during heated gunfights with denizens of the dungeon. Your character can only carry one weapon at a time, and three other equipment that you acquire during your adventure. Weapons are upgraded automatically after a prolonged period of use, but the bonuses don't carry over when you switch to another gun.
Like any roguelike, your objective here is to descend the staircase that leads to the next level. Sometimes the staircase is blocked by a locked door, so you must first find the yellow key hidden somewhere in the dungeon before proceeding to the exit.
Red potions can be quaffed to restore a tiny bit of health, and rescuing damsels in distress also have the same effect on your hero. There's no button to drop an item in your inventory, but you can swap them out when the inventory slots are full by picking up an object on the ground.
