Jaywalker is a great game from dessgeega that will test your reflexes and speed of thought. You control the disembodied head of a character named Marjorie, as she attempts to cause as many car crashes as possible at a busy road intersection.

Game ends if Marjorie is hit by a car. Jump in front of a car at the right moment to cause it to swerve and crash into either the pathwalk, traffic poles or other cars. Chain car crashes for bonus points.

Jaywalker: Take Back the Streets

Jaywalker: Take Back the Streets is the sequel to dessgeega's original release, featuring updated graphics and a new soundtrack to accompany your bloodthirsty quest for revenge.

Gameplay is essentially the same. Jump in front of a car to make it swerve, hopefully causing it to crash into another object for major points. Chain car crashes to score a multiplier bonus. Hummers and vehicles with spoilers will not attempt to avoid a collision with the protagonist.

WalaberAction/Arcade7.47 MBClick here to download

Walaber's JelloCar is an experimental XNA game project which uses the soft body physics library. The game involves driving a car that can change shape with the press of a key, an action which will be repeated quite frequently before the end of each stage is reached.

Press the space key to change the shape of your vehicle, and use the arrow keys to move the car around. Tap the escape key at any time to leave a game in progress or to quit the program directly.

Jeluvian Project, The

The Jeluvian Project is primarily an action game, but you need to implement some strategy and tactics. You will have to decide which path your squad will take, which enemies you will attack, when to cease fire and when to open fire.

It uses the familiar RTS controls, where you command your drones with the mouse. But at the same time, you get to make immediate decisions for them - you will have to aim, shoot, and reload. You take control of the action, not merely the strategics: More like being a Sergeant of a squad, rather than a General of an entire army.

Jetpack Basketball
Messhof, Mark EssenAction/Arcade10.3 MBClick here to download

Jetpack Basketball is a hotseat game for one or two players, where the challenge is to place the ball into the basket eleven times to win the match. Your opponent will attempt to do the same, and though you can't steal a ball directly, players can hover near the basket at the right moment to grab the ball before it enters the basket.

There is also a button that you can press to make more balls appear in the court. Terrific fun for a Sunday afternoon when you have some relatives over.

Jetpak - Solar Crisis
Richard JordanAction/Arcade2.60 MBClick here to download

Jetpak - Solar Crisis is an excellent remake of the similarly titled game for the ZX Spectrum machine. Your mission in each level is to collect and assemble parts of a probe by placing them on a designated area, while trying to carry out repairs on your ship.

Unfortunately only fans of the original will find this particular effort appealing. Nine planets to visit in total.

Jihyo Attack (Written Resignation Attack) is an abandoned 2D platformer created by the developer of Teppoman 2, where you play as a rather angry employee who just wants to quit his job. Armed with a large hammer in his hands, our salaryman will have a chance to smash everything up at the workplace before handing in his letter of resignation to the boss.

There are only five floors to climb, and you can beat the entire game in just a couple of minutes.

PixelAction/Arcade0.11 MBClick here to download

JiLJiL is a rather old creation by Pixel, recently released to the public after a minor update or two was done to it. The game involves protecting your tail from a cat's pawprints and bouncing the sliced fruit around to increase your score.

Joust 3 - Revenge of the Lava Troll
Jph WacheskiAction/Arcade1.76 MBClick here to download

Joust 3 - Revenge of the Lava Troll is another brilliant remake by Jph, featuring seven stages worth of action as you battle in the air against enemy knights, bats and even pterodactyls. Hold the K or up arrow key to take flight, and press the J key to fire a stunner arrow. Replenish your supply of arrows by collecting golden eggs.

Touch the Tikki statue once the area is clear in order to advance. A handy save feature can be activated by pressing the F5 key, while quick load is possible using the F8 key.

Brainchild DesignAction/Arcade0.72 MBClick here to download

Jump n Bump is a freeware platformer with no plot, other than that it involves up to four rabbits trying to hop onto each other's heads to squish each other and score points. The rabbits are controlled by players on the same computer, using the keyboard, mouse, and joystick.

Although the players' scores are tracked, the game continues indefinitely until it is ended by the players. The game proved to be addictive and had several fan sites on the web, with dedicated players designing levels of their own and posting them for all to use.
