In R-Theta, you control a shooter that can move up and down a constantly rotating radar-scope line. You must shoot all enemies that appear on the radar-scope before the rotating line hits them. As you shoot more enemies, the line rotates faster.
R-Theta is based in polar coordinates. Each point is described with a directional value marking its angle from the horizontal axis and a radius value marking its distance from the centre. The theta value is constantly increasing, while you control the radius value. When a shot is fired, it moves not in a straight line, but in a curved path circling the centre.
There are a variety of key controls simultaneously represented in the game. Use the arrow keys to increase or decrease the radius value of the shooter. Press the space, control or J key to shoot. Controls can be inverted by using the shift or I key. Press P or the enter key to pause the game.
Extra lives are awarded for scores of integer of tenm starting at 1000, then for 10000, 100000 and so forth.

rComplex is a short demo created by two people in under eight days as a proof of concept, plays quite similarly to Canabalt, and features a strong narrative that tells the story while you attempt to outrun a giant squid-like creature. The objective of the game is basically to survive for as long as you can while trying to escape from a high-rise building.
Running is automatic and done at a steady pace, but the distance between you and the monster is reduced whenever you stumble over another piece of furniture or obstacle. You can also keep the creature away from you by shooting at it, although ammunition is limited to just twelve bullets only. The music tends to drown out the protagonist's voice often, and there are no checkpoints implemented, but you should be able to reach the end of the level after a couple of tries.
