AetherBeats is an arena shooter that plays like a primitive version of Everyday Shooter, where a looping musical track changes ever so slightly depending on what happens on screen. Shots fired from your ship will chase down any enemies in the vicinity, and every once in a while you'll acquire an additional life or a weapon upgrade that increases your firepower.

After Burner Climax on D-language is a test project by keim, developer of Nomltest FS, Invisible Vision and Quantized Blaze. Only two keys are used, and though the gameplay is currently a little unbalanced this particular production is already showing plenty of potential in it's early stages.
If his previous achievements are anything to go by, this could end up being a lovely remake indeed.

In Air Brawler, the ship you pilot is always in perpetual motion. Control the ship by using the arrow keys to alter speed or travel direction. Hold the space or Z key to shoot, and collect pink glyphs to regain health.

Akuchizoku is a horizontal shooter created by cactus, featuring three playable levels, two difficulty settings, three different pilots and two gameplay modes. The difficulty setting adjusts the number of bosses and enemies you would have to face in battle.
Hold the Z key to shoot, and press the X key to launch a missile. Tap the C key to activate your special weapon, though this move is limited to one use per ship.
Only one pilot is available in story mode, but any level and pilot can be selected in free play mode.

Alien Abduction is a decent Defender clone by Pumpkin Games, featuring 3D graphics but retaining 2D gameplay from the classic. Your objective in each level is to destroy all alien ships while protecting as many energy crystals as you possibly can.
The radar will be helpful to keep track of all the action, while power-ups appear rather frequently and can be collected for a temporary firepower upgrade. Fuel has to be replenished from time to time by hovering your craft over a fuel depot usually identifiable by it's red or pink glow. The game is now available as a free download.

Angeraze 2 is a 3D horizontal shooter that features only two levels in the demo. But we do get three characters as well as all sorts of firepower to play around with.
