Naginata Destruction is a frantic vertical shooter that features a secondary weapon similar to the one found in Taito's Ray series. Only one stage is playable in this version, but the game does not allow continues so it might take at least couple of tries to beat.
Your ship is equipped with a laser cannon that can lock onto a single enemy, and when fired all enemy ships in the path of the laser will be hit and damaged as well. The more ships you destroy with a single laser shot, the quicker you will gain an upgrade for the laser cannon.

Nanoha Taiken 2nd Chu is a remixed version of Musume's Lyrical Nanoha, another vertical shooter with rather nice graphics but average gameplay. Nanozoa is a GM production that features decent backgrounds rendered in black and white. Both keyboard and mouse are used to control the ship inside the doctor's body.
Use the arrow keys to move your craft around and left click to shoot. Weapon upgrades are awarded automatically, though you need to select it from the User Interface Menu in order to have the gun equipped for your next mission. Looks complicated but it's deceptively simple, plus only five short levels have been included with a final boss encounter waiting near the end.

One of the very few Retro Remakes 2006 Competition entries that is actually better than it's predecessor, which is quite an achievement considering that Konami's classic is a tough act to follow.

Jph's New Music Shooter is a game with a simple control scheme and minimal use of colors. Hold the left control key to shoot and press the left shift key to aim. Collect glowing white orbs to increase your shot range and ship's health.

NextArea is a decent shooter with 3D graphics in the style of Afterburner and Star Fox. Your ship travels at a consistent speed, and the trajectory of each enemy shot is shown as a red target on screen which you must avoid or risk losing valuable energy. This is indicated by a blue gauge at the top right of your HUD.
Tap the Z key rapidly to shoot, or use the X key to launch your special weapon. Holding down the Z key activates your secondary attack, though the use of this weapon is limited.

Niga is a decent mini-game by Comet Mistake that could be described as an old-school Robotron: 2084. Use the mouse to shoot and arrow keys to move the character around.
The first two levels may seem a little easy, but more enemies are introduced as you progress such as those that will shoot back or chase after the Pac-Man look-alike. There's no rapid fire, so some dodging is required if you happen to miss often because only one of your bullet can remain on screen at any time.
Do avoid the edges of the playing field because enemies tend to appear from those places. The game includes a high score feature to keep track of your best achievements.

Niga Beta is an arena shooter by Comet Mistake which uses both keyboard and mouse for controls. Three worlds are presented to the player at the start of each game. Select a world by using the up and down arrow keys, then make your choice by pressing the left mouse button.
The number of souls you have to collect in order to complete each stage is indicated by a gauge on the right portion of the screen.
