|Panic Star||Kikaru||Shoot 'em up||1.42 MB||Click here to download|

|Paper Dreams||Zack Banack||Shoot 'em up||9.40 MB||Click here to download|
Paper Dreams is a vertical shooter consisting of three levels to play, where the objective of the game is to shoot at everything that moves. Collect the plus signs to upgrade your blaster and increases your chances of survival, but do avoid the red ones as those reduces your firepower by one level.
It's pretty difficult, even on easy mode, although a checkpoint is saved as you enter each new level. The entirely hand-drawn visuals are quite striking, turning what is pretty much your standard shooter into something pretty special.
|PaperBlast||Jesse Venbrux||Shoot 'em up||6.87 MB||Click here to download|
PaperBlast is a new arena shooter from Jesse Venbrux controlled entirely using the mouse. Enemy spawn points are marked by spinning red squares seconds before they appear, while shots can be concentrated in one main direction by repeatedly tapping the left mouse button. Use the right button to activate one of your three bombs. Weapon is upgraded automatically as the game progresses.
Press the F4 function key to switch between windowed and full screen mode.
|Parity Shot Integral|
|Crane House||Shoot 'em up||8.11 MB||Click here to download|
Parity Shot Integral is a shmup that is rather difficult to describe, partly due to the array of special attacks available to each character. Press the Z key to shoot and tap the V key to dodge in any direction. Hold the shot button and X key at the same time to execute rapid fire, or use the C key to access your special move.
Parity can launch homing missiles just by holding the X key to target. Xlala has a large light saber that she can swing around, while Queenty inherits the ability to cast spells with different effects. The trial only features one level but there is quite a bit of gameplay to be had, especially with the inclusion of a difficulty setting to adjust.
To grab the demo, just click on the second link inside the side bar to access the download page.
|PARSEC47 ||Kenta Cho, ABA Games||Shoot 'em up||4.56 MB||Click here to download|
PARSEC47 is an attempt by Kenta Cho to recreate the addictive gameplay of classic arcade shmups with his own spin. Select either a lock or roll special weapon from the main menu by pressing the X key. Holding down the same key in Lock mode activates the ship's lasers which will home in on the enemy vessels in your sights. You're basically presented with a charged shot in Roll mode.
Progress is automatically saved every tenth level. Neat.
|Pasta Master |
|Jinxtengu, Jacob Waldemar Buczynski||Shoot 'em up||6.53 MB||Click here to download|
Pasta Master is a freeware arena shooter created by Jacob Waldemar Buczynski, where players assume control of an amateur magician who goes by the name of Mr. Mingo. Besides performing tricks and magic, he is also the owner of a well-known restaurant which just happens to be chosen by demons as the perfect location for a gateway connecting earth and the netherworld. Being slightly aggravated by the whole situation, you put on your magic hat and jump right into the portal on a mission to seal this unholy passage and send the demons back to where they rightfully belong.
Use the cursor keys to move, and hold the left mouse button to shoot. Firing your lasers will drain energy quickly, shown as a numerical counter at the bottom right of the screen. Simply let go of the shoot button to replenish ammunition automatically, or grab a bottle of ketchup to increase it drastically. Shields can also be acquired to allow temporary invulnerability against one hit.
A secret game can be found by left clicking on the exposed part of the ceiling.
|Patriot Dark||Temperance Lance||Shoot 'em up||18.8 MB||Click here to download|
Patriot Dark is a vertical shooter by Temperance Lance with two ships to choose from, but only three playable levels included. Use the Z or C key to alternate between your primary and secondary weapons. Tap the X key to launch a bomb, and press the V key to pause the game.
The left alternate and return key can be used to switch between full screen and windowed mode.
|Patrol Falcon||Staniol||Shoot 'em up||7.26 MB||Click here to download|
Patrol Falcon is a remake of the C64 classic with a similar title, in which players have to defend their ground resources from waves after waves of enemy planes. Use the cursor keys to move around, and press the control key to launch a missile. Your plane carries up to a hundred missiles at any time. Fuel and missiles can be replenished by landing carefully on any of the platforms.
Any of your buildings destroyed at the end of each wave will be rebuilt before the start of a new one. This remake sports a larger screen, improved graphics and competent enemy AI, especially evident in latter stages.
|Alice from Japan||Shoot 'em up||34.9 MB||Click here to download|
pCebo is a new shooter by Alice from Japan, and as described by postman this is how Rez would probably look like if it was ever turned into a true shmup. A shield can be activated to negate enemy bullets, though it requires a recharge after a certain number of uses. Hold the Z key to shoot and press the X key to protect yourself momentarily.
Conversations can be skipped by pressing the V key. To play in full screen, change the first option in the configuration menu located just above the resolution select field. The trial version can be a little tricky to download, just find the word 35MB on the web site and click on it. Look for a pCEBO.zip file under the pCEBO folder, which contains the game after unzipping the demo package.
|Perfect Cherry Blossom|
|Team Shanghai Alice||Shoot 'em up||9.27 MB||Click here to download|
Perfect Cherry Blossom features three different playable characters to choose from, with two different Spell Card types each. Reimu Hakurei can weave through the smallest gaps with ease, and her attacks deal low to decent damage, depending on which type you use. Marisa Kirisame relies on her speed and power to compensate for her thin attack area, but the amount of power she wields is very considerable. Sakuya Izayoi has even wider and more versatile attacks than Reimu, but can be quite tricky to use and maneuver.
Almost every part of the game is linked with the 'Cherry Meter'. Shooting enemies increases your Cherry points, bombing or dying decreases your Cherry points, and reaching 50,000 Cherry points gives you a temporary shield. The higher the Cherry Gauge becomes, the more points you gain from Point Items.
Press the shift key to slow down the player's movement, makes the collision box visible and changing the properties of your attacks. When fighting a boss, a position marker shows up on the bottom margin of the screen, indicating where the boss is on the horizontal axis. Since your target can be completely obscured by bullets or darkness at times, use this marker to help you aim your shots. The marker will dim when the boss is being hit, and will flash red when her health bar gets sufficiently depleted.
