Warlock Bentspine
Lazrool, LazraelPlatformer8.12 MBClick here to download

Warlock Bentspine is a 2D platformer that features four stages to beat, each with a set of randomized stages for you to play in whichever direction you decide to tackle a level. At the start of a game you're presented with exits on the left and right side of the room, and if you keep going in one direction you'll face the boss of that stage in the tenth room.

Similar to the Megaman series, players will gain a new weapon to use once they've beaten a stage boss. Besides being able to shoot horizontally and vertically, Mr. Bentspine can also execute double jumps and dash for a short distance.

One thing to note is that the game doesn't automatically save your progress, although a three-digit combination code will be shown at the stage selection menu. This code can be used at the title screen to restore a game from a certain state.

Warp is a new platformer created by Jesse Venbrux, developer of the popular Karoshi series. The game involves collecting all orbs in each level to reveal the exit, although some orbs can only be reached by using the teleportation ability. Move or jump by pressing any of the arrow keys. Hold the space key to bend time and mark a new location to appear at. This reduces the blue gauge at the top left corner of the screen by some margin, but the warp ability does recharge automatically and will reach full capacity after a few seconds.

The level editor is accessed by selecting the online area option at the main menu.

Which Way is Up

Which Way is Up is a traditional and challenging 2D platformer with a slight rotational twist. Help a mysterious big-eared salaryman named Guy find his keys in a labyrinth of dangers and bad dialogue. Use the Z or up arrow key to jump, and press the down arrow key to activate switches or collect items.

Six levels in total. The Windows binary version contains an executable which runs just fine without the need for a Python installation.

Within a Deep Forest
NifflasPlatformer20.1 MBClick here to download

Within a Deep Forest is a rather difficult platformer by Nicklas, not helped by the unfamiliar character controls. Most times you control a bouncing ball made out of different materials, always in perpetual motion throughout the entire game.

Starting off with the basic blue, your jump height will change depending on the type of ball in use. A comprehensive tutorial provides all the information you need, while solutions to most puzzles can be found in the forums. Being likened to the legendary Seiklus is the highest praise that anyone can give. Press F1 to play in full screen mode.
