Evacuation is a game of strategy, quick wits, and explosive decompression. Aliens have invaded your cargo hold, and the only way to get rid of them is to vent them into space.
Left click on the doors to open and close them, or click on the floors to place a flag for your crew to rally around. The game ends if you accidentally evacuate the captain or lose all your crew.

| Kenta Cho, ABA Games | Shoot 'em up | 5.29 MB | Click here to download |
|---|
In Titanion, the ship you pilot has a capture beam that can be used to coax enemy craft to your side. These deserters will form a line formation and act as options, increasing your firepower in the process.
There is a standard level progression implemented, with all captured enemies retained from one stage to the next.

 | Cave Story - Windows, Mac, Linux
| Pixel | Platformer | 0.88 MB | Click here to download |
|---|
Cave Story is a freeware sidescrolling platformer title created by Daisuke Amaya, art-name Pixel. You control a cute little amnesiac who runs around helping out these rabbit-ish creatures called Mimigas while trying to find your way out of the giant cave inside the floating island which makes up the game's setting.
You can expand your health meter by collecting Life Capsules in similar fashion to Metroid games, while you can get stronger by collecting energy to boost your firearms' output. Each weapon can be built up to the maximum level fairly quickly, but taking damage will drain energy from its experience meter, sometimes causing it to level down. Given how quickly they power up this only tends to be an issue during boss fights, and even then there's usually plenty of opportunities for collecting more weapon energy.
The game has loads of secrets, too. For a freeware Japanese platformer, it's fairly lengthy and has quite a large amount of text. We're also talking three very different endings, plenty of plot, and quite a cast of charming characters. It really is a superb little gem.

 | Cursor10 2nd Session
| Yoshio Ishii, Nekogames | Action/Arcade | Browser | Click here to play (external link) |
|---|
Cursor*10 (2nd Session) is a new follow-up to Yoshio Ishii's popular mouse click game, where players have to once again collect all pyramids in each of the sixteen floors with only the ten cursors they're allowed to use as lives. You will direct the action of every cursor, one at a time, with events beginning to loop once the allocated time for that cursor runs out.
The game is largely similar to its predecessor, but contains enough subtle additions to warrant a second play.

 | Lethal Application
| Daisessen | Action/Arcade | 148 MB | Click here to download |
|---|
Lethal Application is a 2D action game that introduces a unique gameplay system for moving your character around each stage. Instead of a jump button that most players are accustomed to, we have here a weapon so strong that its recoil effect can propel the protagonist in the opposite of her shot direction.
Using the weapon does deplete your energy resources, which fortunately can be replenished by collecting items marked 'E' scattered around the area. Press the Z key to shoot and the X key to activate your special move. You can swap special moves by pressing the C key but only after acquiring its corresponding power-ups.
The game was originally sold as a commercial doujin title, but was later released as a free download on the developer's official site. There are ten stages to play in total, although this count doesn't include the boss battles that await the player after every one or two normal levels beaten. You might also need to have the Japanese language pack installed on your Windows operating system to be able to run this game.

 | Tower of Heaven Flash
| Askiisoft, Tadakuni Amano, Dave Zhang, Miroslav Malešević | Platformer | Browser | Click here to play (external link) |
|---|
Tower of Heaven is a monochromatic 2D platformer that features eleven levels to play through, originally released by Askiisoft in 2009 as a Windows-only game. This Flash port contains new musical arrangements, achievements, and a level creation system that unfortunately can only be accessed after you've beaten the game once (first-time players are allowed to import levels though).
There are now three secret locations to find (the original had two), and discovering all of them will reward you with a slightly extended ending to watch.

 | Vacuum, The (mature content) | David Proctor | Adventure | 4.14 MB | Click here to download |
|---|
The Vacuum is a sci-fi adventure game which tells the story of a couple traveling home inside a cargo ship when a pair of explosions set off a chain of events that will forever change both of their lives. The final outcome is influenced by key decisions made by you during the course of your investigation, though most of the endings contain only minor variations in comparison.
Use the tab key to display or hide your objectives. There is an option to skip walk animations with the space key in the settings menu.

 | La-Mulana
| GR3 Project, Nigoro | Platformer | 6.11 MB | Click here to download |
|---|
La-Mulana is a freeware free-roaming platformer game designed to look, sound, and play like a classic MSX game. It's heavily influenced by the classic Konami MSX game 'The Maze of Galious' and anyone who has played that title will probably recognize the similarities very quickly. You play the whip-wielding Indiana Jones-esque archaeologist Lemeza Kosugi as he investigates the ancient ruins of La-Mulana in an attempt to find its treasure and one-up his father, who is trying to get the same treasure as well.
The game is huge, with many different areas to explore and dozens of items and weapons to find. Each area has a large variety of puzzles and traps and you need to solve the puzzles in each area to discover the Ankhs and Ankh Jewels, which allow you to fight the eight Guardians of the ruins. To solve the puzzles you'll need to be able to read the tablets scattered throughout the ruins, which will require a Hand Scanner and translation software for the portable MSX that Lemeza has brought along on the adventure. Your Hand Scanner will also allow you to find items and search the bones of less fortunate adventurers.

 | Goo
| PillowFort | Action/Arcade | 32.6 MB | Click here to download |
|---|
Goo is a soft body fluid physics game which can only be played using an Xbox360 wired controller. The goal of Goo is to surround enemy goos using your goos. When you surround a piece of enemy goo, you'll assimilate its mass and earn points. Like oil and water, goos don't mix, but they can be pulled and pushed around to surround or cut through each other.
You control a goo via the cursor called a Pilot. This Pilot can move around in 2D by using the left or right analogue stick. Moving the pilot around the Goo slightly perturbs the liquid near it. By pressing the right or left trigger, your Pilot will suck nearby goo, creating a dense patch of goo.
