GearToyGear is a 3D tunnel shooter which plays like Kenta Cho's Torus Trooper, although in this mission you are only able to control the speed and flight direction of the ship that you pilot. Shots are fired automatically, and if your initial ship stock isn't enough you can also earn extra lives by scoring more points in the game.
The ship's current speed is indicated by the multiplier shown at the top right corner of the screen. The faster you go, the more points you score. Try not to crash into an obstacle or fly into the path of a laser beam while moving at breakneck speed.
For Windows users, the installation of XNA Framework 3.1 is required to get GearToyGear working. Playing the game with an Xbox 360 controller is recommended.

G-Force is a brilliant remake that plays very much like a flat 2D Tempest, in which enemies rain down from the top of the screen in an attempt to crash into your ship. Press the Z or Y key to shoot, and tap the X key to activate the special weapon.
Only two directional arrow keys are ever needed, and use of the superzapper is only allowed once in each level. Playing hints can be found in the same forum thread, though simple strategies can be formulated after a few plays. Highly recommended for a quick fix.

In Pixeljam's Dino Run, players are transported back in time just moments before a giant asteroid crash lands and wipe out the entire dinosaur population on Earth. As a velociraptor seeking sanctuary from the impending doom, your objective is to run towards the end of each level as fast as you can, preferably before the wall of doom envelops you.
Power-up plants can either give your dino a temporary speed boost or invulnerability. Hold the shift key to run twice as fast, but only when sparks are coming out of the raptor's feet. Press the S or down arrow key to attack other dinos or grab a quick bite. Eggs can be collected to earn continues, while acquiring super eggs and reaching game milestones will reward the player with DNA to distribute on improving your raptor's abilities. One DNA is awarded for every eight eggs found and every eight critters eaten. Bones are used to unlock new speedruns and downloadable rewards in the options menu.
Dino Run also features multiplayer, chat room support and customizable skins plus hats.

 | Iwanaga
| Buster | Action/Arcade | 11.1 MB | Click here to download (external link) |
|---|
Iwanaga is an action game that is reminiscent of arcade classics like Cabal and Blood Bros., in which the player has to dodge swarms of bullets while shooting back at enemies at the same time.
Hold the Z key to shoot, and use the X key for special moves such as double jumps or dash. The default control scheme can be switched easily during combat.
Items are collected automatically when your character isn't shooting at enemies. Orange items restore health, while blue ones increase your secondary weapon charge and time limit. Swap between both weapons by pressing the X and down cursor key.
Bullets can be slashed by tapping the Z key rapidly, This only works on projectiles with a purplish tinge and not the ones which are blue in color.
There's a certain balance to maintain as shots weaken after prolonged use, so switching weapons regularly can be vital to maintain health and increase the time limit. A small hit point will appear when the Z key is held down.
The final boss requires a certain strategy to beat, and much like Buster's Vacant Ark multiple endings are included for each difficulty setting. Use 7-Zip to unpack the files, and JoyToKey for joypad support.

Don't be misled by the name, Prototype is no half-finished effort. Featuring a pod that you can use to direct your shots, the game only showcases one level but it's long enough satisfy most shooter veterans.

OMEGA's Every Extend is quite the departure from standard shoot 'em ups. The objective of the game is to detonate your ship in the midst of your adversaries. Enemies appear in random patterns, hence positioning and timing are both important in setting off a huge chain reaction and earning a healthy combo bonus. Every time this ability is used, one extend is deducted from your total although it's possible to replenish this counter by getting high scores for each detonation.

 | Vacant Ark
| Buster | Shoot 'em up | 9.83 MB | Click here to download (external link) |
|---|
Vacant Ark is a strange departure from standard horizontal shooters, featuring excellent sprite designs by Buster but employing a slightly awkward gameplay system. You can only store and use up to six bullets at any time, although this supply can be replenished by collecting blue gems from vanquished enemies.
You lose all your energy stock if an enemy bullet grazes your on-screen character. A life is lost if you have no energy left when receiving damage. Your pod can also turn enemy bullets into gems when not in use for a few seconds.
Each end level boss requires a different strategy to beat. Some weapons are more effective in certain situations. You can only progress to the next zone if none of the bosses escape.
