Ac!dbomb is the latest release from Mr. Chubigans, developer of Vivid Conceptions and Sandbox of God. The game is basically about defusing bombs, in a race against time to uncover the pistons hidden behind the tiles.

Beams of light can be used to reveal the number of pistons underneath each line of tiles. Just like Minesweeper, you can left click to mark a tile as safe or right click to designate one as a piston. The number of pistons in each level is displayed on the top right of the screen.

Acidbomb 2: Rearmed is the latest puzzler by Mr. Chubigans, developer of Vivid Conceptions and Sandbox of God. Much like it's prequel, your objective is to defuse bombs in multiple locations by using advanced deduction skills and quick thinking.

Beams of light can be moved around to reveal the number of pistons underneath each line of tiles. Just like Minesweeper, you can left click to mark a tile as safe or right click to designate one as a piston. The number of pistons in each level is displayed on the top right of the screen. Press the enter key to reduce the countdown to ten seconds.

It is recommended to play the original Acidbomb before attempting it's successor. Made with the intention to distribute over the Playstation Network via Playstation 3.

Alleytris
Joseph LarsonPuzzle0.08 MBClick here to download

An experimental version of Tetris created by Joseph Larson, Alleytris is perhaps the best out of the four variations posted in the same Retro Remakes forum thread. Players are expected to build horizontal lines in a well that is only four squares wide, and though the game lacks polished graphics or adequate sound effects this build is actually fun enough to warrant more than a few tries.

Ancients' Tome, The
PondwaterPuzzle5.03 MBClick here to download

The Ancients' Tome is an excellent action game by Pondwater that requires decent memory skills. The first few levels act as tutorials, providing subtle hints on the sequence of icons that is required for each attacking or defensive move.

Barely anything is explained in detail, and the number of sequences to memorize may overwhelm some but this particular effort will reward persevering players with a strangely fulfilling experience. The same developer was also responsible for producing the freeware typing hit Typogun.

Arrange Numbers
TaddiPuzzle1.27 MBClick here to download

Arrange Numbers is perhaps the most brutally honest name for a game I have ever seen. You take the numbers, and you arrange them. That's it. And it's addicting as heck, almost as bad as Chain Factor (although sadly much shorter).

You clear blocks (and the numbers within them) by filling all connected blocks of the same color with the same number. Clicking on any number will allow you to drag it horizontally and vertically, but it will also drag all other numbers in that row or column. Be careful, because if you get too many of the same border color touching each other, it will be impossible to clear them due to a lack of any single number.

The game is over when there are no more possible moves. - oranda

Biniax

In Biniax-2, the players controls a box with an element inside. Pairs of elements can be removed if the element controlled is the same as one of the pair. When a pair of element is removed, your box will take on the form of the other element in the pair. Press the space key to remove an entire column. This special move is limited and the number of uses allowed is indicated on the right side of the screen.

BlockOut 8K
KakiartsPuzzle0.02 MBClick here to download

BlockOut 8K is the three-dimensional analogue of Tetris. Polycubes appear in the foreground and fall away, using perspective to make them seem to fall into a three dimesional pit. The pieces can be rotated in the three axes, and moved horizontally and vertically. The game presents the player with a real-time packing problem. Efficient arrangements lead to completed layers, points, and room to move. Incomplete layers build up and make gameplay progressively more difficult.
