In Retrospec's Wizball remake, players have to shoot at enemies to collect red, green and blue paint. Grab green pearls to trade for firepower upgrades, acquire complete control over the main character's movements and also to summon Catellite. Hold down the fire button to guide Cat around the landscape, as paint droplets can only be collected by your spherical companion.

The config.txt file can be edited to enable full screen mode.

Action Fist
Beau Blyth, TeknogamesAction/Arcade5.53 MBClick here to download

Action Fist is a 2D action platformer that features both single and two-player co-op gameplay modes, multiple weapon power-ups, frequent checkpoint locations, and the usual array of boss fights that require some thought and strategy to defeat. Switching weapons and the wall jumping ability does take a bit of getting used to, but once you've played past the first level these actions should come just as naturally as shooting and jumping in the game.

Though an easy mode exists in Action Fist, you definitely won't feel challenged at all by anything other than the Normal and Hero difficulty settings.

Vanguard Princess

Vanguard Princess is a freeware versus fighting game created with Enterbrain's 2D Fighter Maker engine, featuring the sort of quality normally reserved for full-price commercial releases. There are ten playable characters to choose from, an assortment of special moves distinct to each combatant, excellent sprite work, creative costume designs, and even a multiplayer mode that is unfortunately limited to just two people playing on the same computer with no online capabilities. Depending on your interest in the genre you could still squeeze out an hour's play or two from it, although the end sequence for every character is practically the same.

The game will only work on Windows operating systems which can read names of files and folders in Japanese, or those that already have the Japanese language pack already installed. You can switch between full screen and windowed mode by using the left Alt and Enter key, while the button configuration option is accessible via the menu bar.

BrainSplode!
Richard Edwards, Rust Red GamesPuzzle14.5 MBClick here to download

BrainSplode! is a physics-based puzzle game which puts you in control of a rocket launcher that can be used to fire missiles at pink-coloured brains. The objective here is to destroy all of the brains in the area (marked as green squares on the mini-map) so that you may progress to the next stage, where more brains await for their eventual annihilation at your hands.

You can use the marker in the red box to move the turret around, then click on the launch button to fire a missile. Projectiles bounce off yellow pads, and players can utilize rocket components like thrusters and parachutes to guide their missiles with more precision in latter stages.

Warning: Contains strong language and graphic scenes.

The White Chamber: International Edition is a new version of Studio Trophis' debut effort. Smaller than it's predecessor, it includes four new endings and voice acting as well.

There are plenty of easter eggs to be found, and some are hinted at the end of each adventure. Fans of the original certainly won't be disappointed with the extras.

In Samorost, the player interacts with the world with simple mouse clicks directing a small, white-clad humanoid with a little cap and brown boots. The object of the game is to avert a collision of the gnome's world and an incoming world.

NaaC
Bloody MonkeyAction/Arcade10.6 MBClick here to download
(external link)

NaaC is a pretty good Smash TV clone with all the action focused in one room for the entire game. Aliens will barge through walls from the top of the screen, then left and right. Fortunately better weapons occasionally appear out of thin air, although ammo conservation is vital since they run out pretty fast.

Continuity

Continuity is a puzzle platformer in which you have to arrange pieces of a level while playing to reach the key that will unlock the exit door. You can switch between sliding tiles and moving your character around at any time (by pressing the space key), although players won't be allowed to pass from one card to another if the corridors going out of each don't match.

There are roughly thirty levels to figure out in total.

Entanglement

In Entanglement your goal is to place hexagon tiles so as to create the longest line possible without running into a wall. The more segments your line has, the higher the score you can achieve.

Use the arrow keys or the mouse scroll-wheel to rotate your tile. Click with the mouse or press the spacebar to place your tile and watch your line grow. Once you have placed as many tiles as you are able, your game will end.
